Companies and Universities have joined to work on a unique technological project to value and preserve the Forest

20 entities have joined forces in rePLANT, a project of national interest, that will bring new technologies to develop the Portuguese forest and make it safer, in an investment of around 6 million euros, involving more than 70 researchers and specialised technicians.

The ForestWISE Collaborative Laboratory (CoLAB), set up to develop research, innovation and technology transfer activities to increase the competitiveness of the Portuguese forestry sector and reduce the negative consequences of rural fires, begins its activity by opening more than two dozen vacancies for senior researchers and project managers.

The Collaborative Laboratory ForestWISE will be born tomorrow at the center of the country

The ForestWISE Collaborative Laboratory (CoLAB) will be publicly presented on March 16 at the Living Science Center of the Forest, in Proença-a-Nova, at an event where a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the CoLAB and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
