The event “Digital Forest: Enter the next level”, which takes place this Thursday, June 1, at 4 p.m. at the Electricity Museum (Central Tejo) will present the results of three years of innovating for greater appreciation of Portuguese forests, through the rePLANT project. Led by The Navigator Company and in collaboration with ForestWISE, this mobilizing initiative ” was born from the need to develop integrated and innovative solutions that ensure the sustainable management of our forests”, according to a statement.
The same source says the project had an investment of 5.6 million euros and brought together more than 20 entities, including leading companies in the sector, universities and other research and innovation entities, whose work led to the development of new products, processes and services, largely supported by digital technologies, which contribute to reducing the risk of fire. The goal is to improve the management and decision-making processes of forestry and energy companies, introducing a high degree of innovation in integrated forest and fire management.
