BioShoes4all
The integrated project BioShoes4All – Innovation and empowerment of the footwear industry for a sustainable bioeconomy, is led by the Portuguese Association of Footwear, Components, Leather Goods and its Implements (APICCAPS) and has the participation of 70 representative entities of the footwear and leather goods cluster.
Aiming to promote the transition of the footwear industry to bioeconomy and sustainable circular economy, the BioShoes4All is based on 5 Pillars:
- Biomaterials;
- Ecological footwear;
- Circular economy;
- Advanced production technologies;
- Capacity building and promotion.
CoLAB ForestWISE® participates in one of the measures of Pillar 2 – Ecological Footwear – which will identify the needs of the footwear cluster that may be subject to R&I by the Bioeconomy projects of the Natural Resin and Textile and Clothing sectors, thus promoting the development of solutions applicable to the Footwear Cluster.
