INBEC
CoLAB ForestWISE® in collaboration with the CESEFOR Foundation (Centro de Servicios y Promocion Forestal y de su Industria de Castilla y Leon) is developing activities under the INBEC project – Circular Bioeconomy, promotion and development of a sustainable economy through innovation and business cooperation.
INBEC aims to promote the creation of new industries and economic activities, as well as the diversification of productive activities through the transformation of biological resources and the development of new bioproducts and services.
In the scope of INBEC, CoLAB ForestWISE® intends to proceed to acquire companies and projects or business initiatives, with the aim of generating new bioproducts and services in the bioeconomy and circular economy.
In this way, the following activities are being developed:
- Selection and diagnosis of selected companies, by degree of business innovation, organisation and process management, among others;
- Providing consultancy services and technical support to generate: 1) collaborative R&D&I projects between companies and research organisations and 2) new productive or commercial activities for products derived from biological resources, new productive activities or trade in products derived from biological resources;
- Preparation of a catalogue of reusable biotechnological by-products for NUT III Terras de Trás-os-Montes.
In addition to this project, it was organised the event INBEC for the Future, a Luso-Spanish initiative coordinated by CESEFOR with the support of CoLAB ForestWISE® and MORE Collaborative Laboratories. This meeting aimed to promote dialogue and active cooperation between companies and R&D&I service providers in the Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro NUT III region.
