We interviewed Carlos Fonseca, the scientific and technological director of ForestWISE, Collaborative Laboratory for Integrated Forest and Fire Management. He was part of the two Independent Technical Commissions that analysed the major wildfires of June and October 2017 in Portugal. Five years later, much has changed.
