The State Secretary for Nature Conservation and Forests, João Paulo Catarino, and the Mayor, Carlos Condesso, accompanied by the President of Florestgal and the Regional Directors of the North and Center ICNF, and their respective technicians, visited yesterday the reforestation and fight works against desertification that are being carried out at Quinta da Moreirola, located on the southern hillside of the Marofa Hills.
This visit made it possible to understand what is being done in this investment of almost one million euros by Florestgal, which covers 270 hectars, where it will be reforested and promoted the increase of carbon and nutrient fixation in the land soil, as well as the planting of more than 200 thousand trees and the recovery of water lines.
