The example of Ma\u00e7\u00e3o, Florestas.pt"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"6577\" class=\"elementor elementor-6577\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-232aed76 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"232aed76\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-61048093\" data-id=\"61048093\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-12369c78 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"12369c78\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The decisions and strategies that affect forests and forest management in Portugal require knowledge of the perceptions about forests, as well as the motivations and attitudes of the various actors involved in the territory.<br \/>Knowledge about motivations, attitudes and perceptions about the forest is fundamental to the construction and legitimisation of public policies and support mechanisms for the forest sector, and this is one of the challenges that ForestWISE &#8211; Collaborative Forest and Fire Laboratory intends to develop in its various thematic areas, particularly in the line of work &#8220;People and Policies&#8221;.<br \/>The county of Ma\u00e7\u00e3o (Central Interior Region) was used as a case study to learn about social perceptions of forestry, forest management and rural fires in Portugal.
