There are more than 26 million euros, of which more than 5.6 million euros are allocated to Portugal, to increase the adaptation capacity of 12 European regions vulnerable to climate change.
The Centre Region is one of the regions which is part of the European project Resist, which involves 56 entities from 15 countries and a total investment of 26 million euros to combat climate change.
The Resist project – European project Regions for climate change resilience through Innovation, Science and Technology, funds demonstrator projects under the climate change adaptation mission of the European Commission’s Horizon Europe programme, the Commission for Coordination and Regional Development in the Centre (CCDRC) said in a statement after the launch of the event held this Wednesday in Coimbra.
The Centre Region is one of the regions participating in the European project, which has a total investment of 26 million euros, of which over 5.6 million euros are earmarked for Portugal. The idea is to “accelerate the transformation and increase the adaptive capacity” of 12 European regions vulnerable to climate change.
