The Agenda transForm – a Mobilising Agenda under the technical-scientific coordination of CoLAB ForestWISE – has taken another significant step with the installation of a pilot section of multifunctional forest roads, incorporating forest by-products into their construction.

This marks an important milestone in a project that brings together science, industry and the construction sector around a shared goal: to develop more sustainable roads capable of integrating forest by-products and reducing the use of natural resources.

Led by the University of Aveiro, the project involves The Navigator Company, Megavia and Altri Florestal, and aims to test innovative solutions for the construction of forest infrastructure that combines technical efficiency, economic feasibility and environmental sustainability.
